AWARD-WINNING HOME INSULATION INSTALLERS
AWARD-WINNING HOME INSULATION INSTALLERS
CAVITY WALL INSULATION
Cavity wall insulation is the process of injecting insulation material into the cavity from the outside. A specialist company will drill small holes in the outside walls, inject insulation through the holes, and then seal them with cement. The insulation materials used are usually mineral wool or polystyrene beads, although polyurethane foam may sometimes be used instead.
To insulate your cavity walls, the installer drills small holes around 22mm in size at intervals of around 1m in the outside wall of your home. The installer then blows insulation into the cavity using special equipment. Once all the insulation is in, the installer fills the holes in the brickwork so that they’re barely noticeable.
We also offer cavity wall extraction for faulty insulation.
That’s why properly insulating cavity walls can help you save energy and cut costs off your heating bill.
While houses built from the 1990s onwards generally have wall insulation, older homes may not have any at all. Most houses in the UK have either solid walls or cavity walls. If your house was built after the 1920s, it likely has cavity walls. A cavity wall is made up of two walls with a gap in between, known as the cavity. The outer leaf is usually made of brick, and the inner layer of brick or concrete block. Pre-1920 homes are more likely to have solid walls, which have no cavity and are usually made of brick or stone.

We have just had our cavity wall insulation removed and replaced by ECO Home UK. From the start of the process to the end we found them to be very efficient. The guys who did the removal turned up exactly when expected and just got on with the work. They were very pleasant and did a great job of tidying up when they left. Same goes for the two guys who installed the insulation the next day. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to family and friends. Many thanks.

We were very keen to get a floor covering replaced quickly, and despite a last minute change of plan, ECO Homes came up trumps. Every single staff member was friendly and highly professional and always happy to go the extra mile to get a fabulous job done for us. Add to that that they were a lot more affordable than others we contacted, and you really can't go wrong! Can't recommend highly enough. Our laminate is just beautiful.

We used ECO Home UK for a recent project to carry out some pumped cavity wall insulation works. We haven’t used them before and they made an excellent first impression over the phone followed by a company rep coming to the property to survey the job and explain more about how the work was to be carried out. The work was booked in two weeks later and the guys who came were excellent. It was about 4 hours work in total and I was very happy with the work that was carried out. Would definitely use them again and recommend ECO Home UK to others.
